Linda was left in a group home at an early age by her elder sister. She is left to look after her little nephews, who suffer the same fate, years later.
Growing up, Linda and her elder sister, Amanda, were often fighting. Eventually, while Linda was still in high school, Amanda moved away to go to college.

Eventually, Meredith died while sleeping. While she awaited her sister’s graduation, Linda remained at a nearby shelter.
After learning that Amanda had graduated at the end of the year, Linda tried to get in touch with her. Amanda didn’t say anything to Linda before hanging up.
Linda came to the realization that Amanda would never come back for her as the weeks of waiting stretched into months. The sisters became even more hostile toward one another and never talked again.
