- Combine flour, brown sugar, cold butter cubes, cinnamon, and salt.
- Cut the butter into the mixture with a fork or pastry cutter until you have pea-sized crumbs.

Prepare the cookie dough
- Beat the softened butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (2–3 minutes).
